TrackerBox: The locating portal

The TrackerBox portal is an internet-based solution to show and record the position of the tracker systems which are either GPS/GPRS-based or Satellite modem based.
Multiple tracker systems are already implemented and the software gives you the option to add further systems.
The tracker is located by the worldwide working GPS including date and time stamp. The interval for position sensing is variable and can be requested ad hoc as well.
Furthermore the system is able to transmit data collected by inputs of the tracker, e.g. if a door is closed or opened; if a device is switched on or off; RFID information; temperature data logger; ignition starter status.
This information is transmitted either via GPRS data connection or via satellite modem to a server in a data centre. This checks the data of validity with the help of a pre-defined schema and stores those in a data base.
This is where the Trackerbox portal has to make the next move. With the help of complex operations it is able to analyse and convert the data into a user friendly version. This is why the user just needs a standard PC, an internet connection and a web browser. This means, that additional software is not required.
On an integrated map it is quite easy to see the actual position of the tracker. It is also possible to switch between a classic map and a satellite view aided by a zoom function.
